The Bakery Review: World Class Bakers

It’s rare that I come across a new great bakery in Toronto, but a recent weekend walk took me by more than one. Apparently, I don’t walk along St. Clair West often enough.

Anyways, World Class Bakers was one of those surprises. For my humble tastes, the medium sized shop was more fancy tea room than down-to-earth bakery but it was still lovely. The selection of big fat perfectly shaped cookies was wonderful. They reflected many different flavours, not just one flavour with different toppings. They also served beautiful pastries but I can’t comment on those as it’s quite difficult to walk while you stuff a big piece of icing and cream and fluff in your face.

I ended up buying a big fat buttery cranberry cookie and a big fat molasses cookie, perhaps 9 trillion calories each. Worth every penny. Yum!
